2014 Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Barbera, Amador County
Produced in the Italian, old world, food-friendly style.  Aromas and flavors of blueberry and raspberry blend into a bright center of cola and red licorice, flowing into a flavorful lingering finish.

Grown on steep mountainous terrain in the higher elevations of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California.

2013 Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Syrah, Amador County
Produced in a drinkable, fruit forward and rich style. Aged 26 months in French oak cooperage to develop a well-rounded wine with firmly structured tannins for delicious drink-ability. Varietal mouth filling fleshy texture with big red berry and cherry fruit. Aromas of blackberry, cedar, blueberry and sweet oak introduce fresh, bright and spicy flavors of the same, laced with firm tannins that carry through the long finish.

Vineyard & Vintage Notes: 100% grown in the mountainous York Syrah Vineyard of Fiddletown, Amador County. The steep rocky volcanic slopes of this Sierra-mountain terrain represents well Amador County's’ ability to produce world-class Syrah. These mountain terroirs produce low yields of first growth quality fruit. Harvest was mid-September in 2013. 2013 was a drought year, producing smaller yields of more intense and extractive fruit.

2013 Scott Harvey Three Stags Red Wine, California
Produced in the old world style of balanced wine making. We want the wine to express a good balance of fruit, French oak, structural tannins and medium alcohol. Produced in a richer, more extractive style.

Briary with layers of blackberry, bright red cherry, pomegranate, violets and balanced with a fleshy center and Amador regional earthy tones.

Vineyard Notes: From select vineyards in Amador County.

--------------------

2012 Scott Harvey Old Vine Selection Zinfandel, Amador County
Produced in the old world style of balanced wine making. We want the wine to express the Amador Zinfandel terroir with good balance of fruit, French oak, structural tannins and medium alcohol.

Briary varietal Zinfandel. Old World style and color. A spicy, earthy and refreshing wine with flavors and aromas of roses, pomegranate, bright red fruits, white pepper and redwood forest. A complete wine from first sip to the long lingering finish.

Vineyard & Vintage Notes: A complex wine due to the Zinfandel in the wine coming from two great vineyards. The traditional base of this wine is the Old Vine Norton/DeMille vineyard. This vineyard was planted during prohibition. My grandfather, George DeMille, nurtured the vineyard through the hard time so that we can enjoy wines from it today. The balance of the wine is from the oldest documented Zinfandel vineyard in America, Vineyard 1869. These vineyards are non-irrigated, standalone head pruned vines that express the old world Zinfandel terroir.

2014 Scott Harvey J&S Reserve Barbera, Amador County
A blend of the Wilderotter and Coon Barbera Vineyards of Amador County. Amador County is extremely well suited to Barbera. Barbera both buds out earlier and ripens later than Zinfandel producing grapes at lower pH with full, bright varietal fruit. Amador County is rapidly becoming known as the best wine growing region in the world for Barbera. To give more depth to this vintage, we added 18% Syrah from the York vineyard in Fiddletown.

Fruit forward, rich full flavors expressing both the varietal and the Amador Terroir. This complex wine has notes of bright red cherries, pepper and mulberry with a bright center finishing with chocolate and spice.

Winemaker’s Notes: Both Barbera vineyards produce small bunches of high extraction, perfect pH and flavors to produce world class Barbera.

2014 Scott Harvey J&S Reserve Syrah, Amador County
Grown in the mountainous Chapman Syrah Vineyard of Shenandoah Valley, Amador county.  This vineyard is a steep rocky decomposed granite west facing slope. Extremely low yields from these highly-stressed mountain vineyards produce first growth quality fruit. Produced in an elegant Cote Blond French style. Elegant bright red fruits enhance this well-balanced wine. Aged in French oak cooperage to develop a well-rounded wine with firmly structured tannins.

Aromas of raspberry, pepper, clove, cherry and sweet light oak introduce fresh, bright, spicy flavors of the same with firm tannins that carry through the long finish.
