Your Choice SimpliSafe Shield Security Systems

  • You choose one of two security systems:
  • System A ($239): an OLDer one we’ve sold before (for $10 more) that has a camera, 6 entry sensors, one motion sensor, a panic button, a siren, a whole bunch of stuff, really! Only problem, it’s not the newest model, so it’s not compatible with Simplisafe’s current generation of add-ons.
  • System B ($199): A NEWer, sparser system with an extra motion sensor and the same number of entry sensors but no camera, no panic button, no siren, or any of that stuff. The upside? Since it’s the newer model, it works with all the newest gear.
  • Model Numbers: BBY-SS2-SH for the older, BBY-SS3-02 for the newer.

Make The Safe Choice

I pay what might be called an excessive amount of attention to the NBA. Therefore, to explain today’s sale, I’ll use a basketball analogy. When a team drafts in the mid-to-late lottery, they often have a choice to make: do they take the player who’s ready to contribute right away but probably won’t get much better over the course of his career; or do they take the player who’s not capable of as much right now, but has the potential to be better as he matures and refines his game?

This, essentially is the choice we’re giving you with these two Simplisafe security systems. You can choose decide between:

The Older System: This is your Malcolm Brogdon of security systems. For $239 (which is $10 cheaper than the last time we sold it) it’s got everything you need to secure your home right now: a camera, six entry sensors, one motion sensor, a panic button, a siren, the works. But, like Malcolm Brogdon, it’s a little old, and it’s pretty much done getting better. In other words, you can add some stuff to it, but it isn’t compatible with the newest generation of Simplisafe products.

OR

The Newer System: Here, we’re looking at a Marquese Chriss model. It’s missing some of the stuff you probably want. For example, it doesn’t come with a camera, a panic button, or a siren. Because of this, it’s a little cheaper than the older model: $199. Still, it’s not without its perks. You do get an extra motion sensor, and it can work with Alexa (with the interactive plan, which’ll run you $25/month). But what actually makes it useful is that it’s newer, and therefore has more potential for expansion, much like Marquese Chriss could become a superstar one day, if he ever learns to shoot. Or defend. Or do anything. Still, the point stands: growth is possible.

There, that should explain it. Now, if you know nothing about the NBA, just skip the names and you should be fine. As for me, I’ve gotta go listen to about thirty podcasts concerning the Finals and Kawhi Leonard’s offseason decisions.
