Vestia Wine Saver Starter Kit With 3 Extra Stoppers

  • Takes the oxidizing air out of your wine, which is good to do, we’re told.
  • Previously, we sold this for $15 with 3 stoppers. Now, we’re selling it with 6 stoppers for $12. We’re basically paying you a dollar per extra stopper that we’re selling you! (Don’t think about it too hard.)
  • Model number is: VS-WSVRFP-BK4PK & VS-WSVRLD-BK3PK, which look a lot like some of the new Twitter followers I’ve picked up recently. Seem like cool guys, but very opinionated.

Look Cool, Feel Cool

As we understand it, the story here is that these things will essentially vacuum seal your wine bottle. They’ll remove all the air that would otherwise oxidize and turn your finest merlot into a big bottle of mer-NO THANK YOU! (Eh?)

The truth is: it’s complicated. Do they actually do all that they claim? Is this battery-powered vacuum-sealing Vestia wine saver kit that much better than, say, just shoving the stained cork back into the bottle?

We don’t know. We didn’t go to wine school. So let’s focus on what we are sure of. While it may not elevate your wine-drinking experience, it will surely elevate your wine-drinking persona. Because here’s a fact: this thing looks cooler than an old cork.

Let’s say you have a friend over for a glass of wine. You take the bottle out, and then it’s all the same questions: “What kind of wine is this? Chardonnay?” “When did you open it?” “It’s not too old, is it?” “Wait, did you drink half of this before I got here and then funnel in some lemonade to make it look like you only had one glass?” “Seriously, Sean? Again?” “Why are you lying to me?” “How many times do I have to tell you there’s no pulp in wine?”

It just gets so EXHAUSTING.

But if you’ve got this Vestia wine saver starter kit, you only get one question: “Whoa, cool! What is that thing?”

Or maybe two questions, the second being: “Why does this smell like lemonade?” But to answer that, you need do more than swirl the wine in your glass, lift it to your nose, and say in a refined voice: “Ah, yes. I’m also getting a bouquet of citrus fruit.”
