Will these arrive by Christmas? Lol, no. I mean, c’mon. It’s Friday. Christmas is Wednesday. We offer flat rate shipping. We’re not exactly a great ‘last minute’ gift shopping stop.
So why are we selling earrings then?
Uh, because you might want earrings? And jewelry is a good gift to buy yourself in the days preceding a major gift-giving holiday, because, a) it’s highly unlikely that someone will get you these exact ones, and b) who’s really going to know when you bought them? If someone stops you and says, ‘Hey, those are great earrings! Are they new?’ all you have to say is, ‘Oh, these old things?’
Or: ‘I got them for Christmas.’
Or: ‘I bought them for myself in the days leading up to Christmas, because I’m an adult and I can buy whatever I want whenever I want. Hashtag adulting. Hashtag selfcare.’
But we get it: you’ve been shopping for everyone but yourself recently, so you’re still in gift-mode. But here’s the thing: you’re not out of the woods yet. You might be done getting stuff for Christmas and Hanukkah, but in February, there’s Valentine’s Day. And then there are birthdays, summer bridal showers, Mother’s Day, all that stuff.
And then still: there are just days. Of course, we’re at peak gift-giving time now. But, you know what’s nice? A little surprise to help someone forget about a bad day. Or a little surprise to make a great day even better.
So why not get these earrings and stash them away to give to someone on a rainy day? Or a snowy day. Or a sunny day. Any day, really. That’s the point we’re trying to make.
